ALL OF OUR TRAILS ARE PRIVATELY LOCATED ON THE FAMILY HOMESTEAD AND OFFER TERRAIN FOR ALL LEVELS FROM THE BEGINNER TO THE ADVANCED. FIRST, WE BEGIN AT BASE CAMP, A LEVEL AREA FOR THE TRUE BEGINNER OR WARM-UP FOR THE MORE ADVANCED RIDERS. IT HAS ITS' OWN TRAINING HILL. (REMEMBER, MOUNTAIN RIDING IS DIFFERENT THAN THE FLAT LAND RIDING.) IF YOUR ABLE TO HANDLE THE MOUNTAIN, YOU WILL FIND TRAILS WITH TWISTS, TURNS, CLIMBS, ELEVATION AND TUNNELS THROUGH THICKETS OF FLOWERING RHODODENDRON . OUR HORSES (YOUR PARTNERS) ARE MORE THAN JUST TRAIL HORSES, THEY ARE SHOW QUALITY FAMILY MEMBERS. WE RAISE AND TRAIN OUR HORSES with kindness and love. THEY WORK WITH riders IN THE MOUNTAIN RIDING ACADEMY PROGRAMS AND show locally. CHADI FARM IS AN OPERATING PAINT HORSE Breeding facility. $25.00 Instructed Beginner Trail Ride – All ages
From the first timer to the “haven’t ridden in 20 years”, this ride stays on base camp. A walking assistant will be provided to help you brush up on your riding skills or show the “first-timer” how to be balanced and in control in a comfortable manner for the horse. (Safety lines are at our discretion). Tots are welcome and will be on their own horse on a safety line regardless of experience. Approximate riding time is 30 minutes, plan your reservation for one hour to fill out release forms, select a properly fitting helmet, mount, learn a little about your horse partner, ride and of course, TAKE PICTURES!
$35.00 Instructed Intermediate Trail Ride –Age 9 and up
This ride includes base camp and the lower mountain trail. Confident guests may choose this ride regardless of experience. A great opportunity for beginner or mixed skill levels to ride a more challenging terrain together with the assistance of walking instructors for the novice. Approximate riding time is 40 minutes plan your reservation for one hour to fill out release forms, select a properly fitting helmet, mount, learn a little about your horse partner, ride and of course, TAKE PICTURES!
$35.00 Guided Intermediate Trail Ride- Skill required.
This ride includes base camp and the lower mountain trail with lead and drag trail mounted guides. A light mountain riding experience for people who have ridden in arenas or on flat trails. Riders will need to demonstrate their ability to stop, steer and control the horses’ natural reactions without harsh aids. You may choose English or Western.
$50.00 Guided Advanced Trail Ride- Recommended for people who have competed, taken multiple lessons or own/owned horses.
With steep hills, altitude switchbacks and generous seasonal foliage, we have approximately an hour of trails for you. The top elevation is near 5000 feet with views of Hanging Rock and sometimes Grandfather Mountain. Many guests have commented on how wonderful it was to have a "real mountain ride". We will ask you to demonstrate your ability to control your horse prior to the climb. This ride requires a harmonious relationship between you and your horse. We reserve the right to switch to a lesser ride for any rider we deem necessary.
